PERSONAL, SOCIAL, HEALTH AND ECONOMIC EDUCATION.

The intent of our PSHE curriculum here at Our Lady’s is to deliver a curriculum which is accessible to all and that will maximise the outcomes for  every child enabling them to become safe, healthy, independent and responsible members of society and the modern world.  It provides children with opportunities to discuss and learn about personal health, well-being, safety, relationships - including anti-bullying -  differentiation and aspirations.  Our children will have opportunities to learn about rights and responsibilities and appreciate what it means to be a member of a diverse society and to realise that everyone is special and unique and we should celebrate differences and different kinds of families.  Our children are encouraged to develop their sense of self-worth by playing a positive role in contributing to school life and the wider community and wider world.

Here at Our Lady’s pupils have access to the Life Education Centre every year when specially trained Coram Life Education educators visit our school in a mobile classroom to help our children keep themselves healthy and safe, this is central to PSHE education and children's Spiritual, Moral, Social and Cultural development.  PSHE is also strongly linked to other subjects particularly Science and RE.
