Slightly different this week.
As well as doing you 10minutes of spelling practice everyday, today we will be looking at how to improve simple sentences using grammatical features.

The PDF below gives a guide on how to add features to sentences to improve them.

There are a list of 10 to improve with all the features mentioned in the PDF. Be creative! You will be able to apply this skill to your work later on in the week!
Science

This week will be returning to making classification keys.

Below are 4 Example classification keys - look carefully at how they are set out and most importantly the question that are used to sort different animals into their own groups - and eventually into individual species.

Your job is to create classification keys for:
Bees OR Butterflies OR Birds

Birds is the easiest, Bees are the hardest and it will be interesting to see who chooses which one!

This week we will be revisiting a book we read in class.
When the Crayons Quit.

Last time we wrote a letter of complaint as if we were one of the crayons, but this time we are writing a letter back to the crayons.

As the crayons are our friends (or at least were)  we will be writing an informal letter.

Attached below is the story, the activity and the informal writing checklist.
Today we will plan out and draft our letter, and tomorrow will be our final draft and submission.
History/Art

This week we are linking our History and Art together.

I would like you to make a model of something Viking!
Choose from: A longboat, A longhouse, or a Viking helmet and Shield.

You can use whichever materials are available to you. Do some research about what they looked like. You might even find some instructions online to help you.

Send your pictures in to me when you have completed it.
