Under this I have attached a PDF called NETFLEX. You can click the pictures and it will take you to a YouTube Video. There is Joe Wicks, Yoga, bottle flipping, pillow jumping and whole host of other PE activities you can do at home. As PE is both National Curriculum and essential to your health and wellbeing, please complete 30 mins each day. 
Monday

At the bottom of this page are some reasoning questions as challenges. 
English:
 
RESCUE the words and write them in full, well punctuated sentences.
Once completed find synonyms of the words and put them into sentences. 
 
A reminder of what RESCUE means:
 

RESCUE the word

R: read the word

E: explore the word (with or without a thesaurus) by listing synonyms and antonyms

S: spell the word and underline any tricky parts

C: check the spelling is correct

U: make sure you understand the word (use a dictionary if necessary).  Can you explain what the word means to your parents/siblings/friends?

E: explain the word by writing two-five different sentences using the word.  Try to use it in different contexts to show its varied meanings if possible.

Science
 
Our next lesson in classifcation is applying our previous learning to some creative thinking. 
Last week we learnt that different classes have different features...for example a mammal has fur and live young (and other features), a bird has feathers and lays eggs (and other features).
 
Read through the PDF and then create your own animal. Make sure you choose a class and ensure your animal has features of that class! Be as creative as you like but make sure its features match it class! 
 
There is an activity sheet to guide you, but you don't have to write on it.

Have a look at the Board called Jorvik - A Viking City on Discovery Education. 
Watch the Videos and create a brochure advertising the city as it was in Viking times. 
 
This is like the travel brochure you made in school - but this time its a time travel brochure!

This week will be looking at two aspects of writing: persuasive writing and playscripts. 
 
Our scene features a young boy name Joe who wants to stay up late.
Your job it to write a playscript with persuasive features about how Joe tries to convince his parents to let him stay up. 
 
Attached are 2 presentations: one about how to create playscripts, and the other about how to write persuasive sentences. 
 
There is also the planning sheet and the start of the playscript to help you get started. 
 
Today you will be reading and planning!
Art
 
Complete the picture you started last week. Take a photo and send me the photo so I can see your wonderful art work. 
French

Today we are writing our playscript. Don't forget to keep referring to the features of a playscript. The punctuation and layout are very important. You also need to use some of the persuasive features you looked at yesterday. 
 
We will complete the first draft today and then edit and rewrite tomorrow.
Come and See
 
Look up 1 Corinthians 13: 4-7. If this passage was taken seriously by world leaders, or people in your town, or in your class, describe how you think life might be changed, giving examples and explain how you think people might feel.
 
To complete this write a short paragraph of how the world would be different if world leaders followed this advice. 
Friday

Before we move on from Percentages, I would like you to complete this assessment. 
 
Have a really good go at all the questions. If you get stuck, look through the previous weeks' learning and it may help you. You can mark your own work and correct any mistakes. 
English
 
You should have finished your playscript yesterday. So today we need to improve it! Go though it and check all the language, vocabular, punctuation layout and make sure it is the best work you can produce!

Computing

PSHE
 
Lesson 2 of our money topic is about ways to pay! 
 
Have a look at the presentation and complete the 2 activities.
