Year 2 Overview

Welcome to Year 2.

Our class teacher is Mrs Kevan  and our teaching assistant is Miss Poulson. We also have Miss Dunn and Miss Randall in our class.

Year 2 is an important year as we are now top of the infants! This means we are role models for Reception and Year 1. We have lots of responsibilities in our class and always show respect and excellent behaviour in class and around our school.

We have lots of fun topics and activities planned for this year! We will be learning about lots of interesting people from the past and different locations around the world!

This half term we are learning about Africa. We will be researching who Nelson Mandela is and why he is such a significant person. We will also be using glockenspiels in music. We are thinking about how we can live like Jesus and we will be working with CAFOD. Throughout Lent we will be taking part in the Lenten Walk and we have all made Lenten promises.

Below you will find more information about Year 2 and more photographs evidencing some of the exciting activities we have been doing in Year 2!
